The 2025 summer feast in Cerami
In 2025, Cerami once again celebrated its Patron Saint with the Feast of Saint Sebastian the Martyr on August 27th and 28th. The eve featured 'A 'ntrata u lauru, with devotees carrying the heavy laurel banners, and the equestrian parade of participants departing from Piazza San Sebastiano towards Saint Oliva, with the customary tasting of bread, cheese, and wine.
The day of the feast was marked by the translation of the Sacred Reliquary from the Mother Church to the Church of Saint Sebastian and the two solemn processions, including a stop at the Abbey of Saint Benedict. The evening concluded with illuminations, market stalls, and fireworks, confirming the festival as the most cherished summer event in the Municipality of Cerami, in the province of Enna.
