Edition 2025 — Saint Sebastian in Cerami

On January 20, 2025, Cerami honored its patron saint, Saint Sebastian, with the customary winter festival. A solemn mass was celebrated in the Church of Saint Sebastian with the Confraternity, while in the afternoon, the traditional “calata du circu” gathered young and old in the square, amidst cudduri, oranges, and laurel branches.

The 2025 edition of the January feast of Saint Sebastian in Cerami (Enna) took place on the liturgical feast day of January 20th. The Cerami community gathered around the Church of Saint Sebastian for the morning's solemn mass, animated by the Confraternity, and for the anticipated “calata du circu” in the afternoon. The conical wooden structure, covered in laurel, oranges, and cudduri, was hoisted and lowered in the square for the joyful scramble of the youth, while candies were tossed to the children from the bell tower. A rite that renews the town's bond with its patron saint and the tradition of shared charity every year.
