Edition 2025 — Saint Sebastian in Giarre
2025 Edition
The 2025 edition of the Feast of Saint Sebastian in Giarre was marked by a rich calendar of celebrations. The preparatory triduum was held from January 22 to 24 with evening masses, followed by the vigil on January 25 with the unveiling of the statue.
The external feast on January 26 culminated with a solemn mass in the Duomo, the exit of the statue accompanied by bells, firecrackers, and a daytime fireworks display, and the procession through the main streets of the historic center. By decision of the festival committee, the procession was divided into two parts, morning and afternoon, featuring the evocative Calata dell'Angelo and the final fireworks in Piazza Duomo. The celebrations concluded with the octave on February 2.
