Feast of Saint Nicholas the Bishop 2025 in Venetico
On Saturday, December 6, 2025, the community of Venetico Superiore, in the province of Messina, renewed the traditional feast in honor of its patron, Saint Nicholas the Bishop. The celebrations began in the morning with a solemn Mass in the Mother Church dedicated to the saint.
Throughout the day, the most heartfelt moments of the feast took place: the procession of the statue of the saint, carried on the shoulders of devotees along the village's characteristic alleys, accompanied by a brass band playing sacred hymns and religious marches, a musical concert, entertainment in the square, and finally, a fireworks display to close the festivities. A day of faith and community that renewed the deep bond between Venetico and its protector saint.
