Edition 2025 — Feast of Saint Nicholas

In 2025, Capizzi solemnly celebrated its patron saint, Nicholas of Bari. On December 6th, the liturgical feast day, the community gathered for a solemn Mass and an afternoon procession of the relic from the Mother Church to the Sanctuary—a tradition revived in recent years after a long hiatus. The winter feast, preceded by the November novena, was intertwined with the Immaculate Conception celebrations.

The 2025 edition of the Feast of Saint Nicholas in Capizzi (province of Messina) confirmed the renewed vitality of a centuries-old devotion. Following the novena of preparation in the Mother Church, on December 6th, the community gathered for a solemn Mass and a procession that accompanied the saint's relic from the Mother Church to the Sanctuary.

The patronal procession, revived only a few years ago, brought the faithful together in the square, testifying to the strong bond between the Nebrodi village and its protector. The celebrations then merged with those of the Immaculate Conception on December 8th.
