Feast of Saint Margaret the Virgin and Martyr

The 2025 edition of the Feast of Saint Margaret took place in Agira, in the province of Enna, on July 20th, on the traditional day of the Saint's martyrdom. The community gathered around the Church of Saint Margaret for liturgical celebrations and the customary blessing for pregnant women, of whom the Saint is the venerated protector.

The most anticipated moment was, as always, the evening procession: at dusk, the 1784 statue and the relics of the Glorious Martyr were carried on shoulders through the streets of the village, accompanied by the brass band, amidst the participation of the faithful and visitors.
