Edition 2025 — Saint John the Baptist (Nativity)

In 2025, Monterosso Almo celebrated the Nativity of Saint John the Baptist in June. The community gathered in the Mother Church for the solemn octave of prayer leading up to the June 24th solemnity, featuring daily masses, the "Night of Saint John," the relic procession, and traditional fireworks.

The 2025 edition of the June festivities in Monterosso Almo, in the heart of the Iblei Mountains, renewed the ancient devotion to Saint John the Baptist. The octave, featuring the rosary, the chaplet to the patron saints, and evening Eucharistic celebrations, accompanied the community until June 24th.

The vigil renewed the evocative "Night of Saint John," while the day of the solemnity opened with the festive ringing of bells and twenty-one cannon shots. In the evening, the procession with the relic and the fireworks display sealed a deeply felt festival, uniting faith and popular tradition in the baroque Iblean village.
