Edition 2025 — Saint John the Baptist in Monterosso Almo
The 2025 edition
The Great Feast of the patron saint of Monterosso Almo (province of Ragusa) took place on Sunday, September 7, 2025, the first Sunday of the month. The preceding days enlivened the Iblean village with a rich program of lead-up events: Family Day with the blessing of couples, the Grest Replay dedicated to children with games and inflatables in the main square, and the Committee and Choir Day with the meditative concert "The Path of Hope," which featured parish choirs and the Cantus Novo choir.
On the day of the feast, the most deeply felt rites were renewed: the nisciuta of the Saint from the Mother Church, the processions of the statue on the gold-leaf-covered float, the cena with the auction of votive sweets and breads, and the grand concluding pyromusical show, in the spirit of a devotion that continues to draw faithful and emigrants to the village.
