Feast of Saint John the Baptist

The 2025 edition of the Feast of Saint John the Baptist in Giardini-Naxos took place according to the usual tradition, culminating on June 24th, the day of the patron saint of the San Giovanni and Mastrociccio districts.

The faithful accompanied the triumphant exit of the statue on the 'vara' and the procession along the streets of the two seaside neighborhoods, amidst devotional chants and the participation of the entire community. The festival concluded, as is customary, with performances in the square and the masculiata on the seafront of Giardini-Naxos, in the heart of the province of Messina and Ionian Sicily.
