Edition 2025 — Saint John the Baptist
In 2025, the celebrations in honor of the patron saint involved the entire Iblean town. On June 24th, the day of the feast, the 'sciuta' of the statue took place at 8:00 PM, amidst special effects and the launch of the characteristic colorful paper ribbons, the 'nzareddi.
The procession began with the participation of the clergy, all the confraternities with their banners, and civil and military authorities, visiting the churches of Santa Maria di Gesù, San Vito, and San Filippo. At 9:30 PM, musical entertainment took place in Piazza Duomo; at 11:00 PM, the statue entered the same square, where the figure of the Saint was traced, and at 11:30 PM, the grand pyromusical show in Piazza San Giovanni closed the day. A festival with ancient origins, linked to the cult introduced by the Knights of Malta in the 13th century.
