Feast of Saint John the Baptist

The 2025 edition of the Feast of Saint John the Baptist in Campobello di Licata enlivened the town from June 21 to 24, confirming itself as the first major festival of the Agrigento summer season. The festivities began on June 21 with the recitation of the Holy Rosary and mass at the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary of the Immaculate, while the "Festival of Ancient Flavors" was inaugurated in Piazza XX Settembre.

On June 22, coinciding with the solemnity of Corpus Christi, morning masses were held, followed in the evening by a Eucharistic celebration and a procession with the Blessed Sacrament. The climax arrived on June 24: at 7:00 PM, a solemn mass in Piazza XX Settembre, followed by the statue procession through the city streets with the brass band and a costume parade representing various historical eras. The festival closed with traditional fireworks that illuminated the night sky.
