Edition 2025 — Saint James Feast - Capizzi

The 2025 edition of the Saint James Feast in Capizzi took place in late July, with the novena from July 16 to 24. The Aragonese Banner Procession opened the festivities on July 22, followed by the procession of relics on July 24, the barefoot pilgrimage of "U Viaggio" at dawn on July 25, and the Rite of Miracles on July 26, the highlight of the festival in Piazza dei Miracoli.

The 2025 edition of the Feast of Saint James the Greater in Capizzi (Messina) renewed the centuries-old rite of the Nebrodi community. After the novena, on July 22, the Aragonese Banner Procession brought the era of Peter II of Aragon back to life, while on July 24, the procession of sacred relics was held. At dawn on July 25, barefoot faithful performed the "U Viaggio" pilgrimage. On July 26, the highlight, the statue of the saint was carried on shoulders on the vara to Piazza dei Miracoli for the traditional Rite of Miracles, with the vara striking the wall of the ancient house amidst the emotion of the devotees.
