2025 Feast of Saint James in Gratteri

The 2025 edition of the patronal feast took place from September 7th to 9th in the historic center of Gratteri (PA). The festivities opened with the display of the flag of Saint James, the solemn ringing of bells from all the churches, and the firing of firecrackers, accompanied by the parade of the Angelo Tornabene Band through the town streets.

On September 8th, the solemn vigil liturgy in the Mother Church was presided over by the Bishop of Cefalù, in the presence of civil and military authorities. On September 9th, the main day, after the 11:00 AM Eucharistic celebration and the procession for the sick, the solemn procession of the wooden statue of the Saint and the Relics took place in the evening through the main streets of the village, with the blessing in the square and the float bearers kneeling in devotion. The feast closed around midnight with the fireworks display.
