Feast of Saint Francis of Assisi

The 2025 Feast of Saint Francis of Assisi was held in San Pancrazio Salentino from Friday, October 3rd to Sunday, October 5th, with the central moment occurring on October 4th, the liturgical feast day of the Poor Man of Assisi.

The program followed the Salento tradition: Eucharistic celebrations in the Mother Church dedicated to the two patron saints, a procession with the statue of Saint Francis along the decorated streets, the lighting of the luminarie in Piazza Umberto I, and brass band concerts. Secular festivities enlivened the center with musical performances and stalls, while the fireworks display sealed the occasion. The organization was handled by the Ss. Pancrazio e Francesco d'Assisi Association with the municipal administration.
