Feast of Saint Blaise

On February 3, 2025, Ostuni renewed its devotion to its co-patron Saint Blaise with the customary pilgrimage to the rock-hewn sanctuary in the pine forest. Thousands of faithful reached the place of worship to attend the celebrations and receive the blessing of the throat.

That year, however, direct access to the crypt carved into the rock remained closed for safety reasons related to the stability of the ridge: masses were held outside and in the churches of the historic center, awaiting the work that would later allow, in the following edition, the return of celebrations inside the cave. The day confirmed the strong popular participation and the deep bond of the Ostuni community with its patron saint.
