Edition 2025 — Saint Blaise Comiso (February 3rd)
The 2025 edition
The 2025 liturgical feast of Saint Blaise took place in Comiso, in the province of Ragusa, on Monday, February 3rd, at the Rectory Church of Saint Blaise. As per tradition, Holy Masses were held continuously from morning to evening, each concluded with the blessing of the throat imparted to the faithful with two crossed candles.
The day, marked by nine celebrations, featured a midday concelebration presided over by the Diocesan Vicar Roberto Asta with the entire local clergy, while the final Mass was led by the rector, Father Fabio Stracquadaini. The large turnout confirmed the central role of Saint Blaise, revered as the protector of the throat, in the religious identity of the local city.
