Edition 2025 — Feast of Saint Augustine

In 2025, Pavia celebrated Saint Augustine with the triduum of preparation and the solemn Mass on August 28th in the Basilica of San Pietro in Ciel d'Oro, followed by the exposition of the urn with the relics of the Saint of Hippo. A late-summer tradition deeply felt by the diocesan community.

The 2025 edition of the Feast of Saint Augustine followed the traditional program in Pavia: the triduum of preparation in the preceding days and, on August 28th, the solemn Mass in the Basilica of San Pietro in Ciel d'Oro, custodian of the Saint's relics. After the celebration, the exposition of the urn with the remains of Saint Augustine, accompanied by the hymn Magne Pater, represented the most intense moment. A feast that each year renews the deep bond between the city of Pavia and the great Father of the Church.
