Feast of Saint Anthony the Abbot

The 2025 edition of the Feast of Saint Anthony the Abbot in Corropoli confirmed the vitality of a tradition deeply rooted in the farming calendar of the Val Vibrata, in the province of Teramo.

As per tradition, the evening at the Church of Santa Scolastica opened with the blessing of the fochera, the large bonfire symbolizing protection. This was followed by Holy Mass, the procession with the statue of the Saint, and the blessing of the animals, the highlight of the festival that attracts numerous families with their pets every year.

At the end, the Santa Scolastica Committee offered tarallucci and mulled wine to all those present, closing the evening in a warm and convivial atmosphere.
