Edition 2025 — Saint Anthony the Abbot
The 2025 edition of the Feast of Saint Anthony the Abbot in Camporotondo Etneo renewed the two commemorations that have marked the devotion of this Etnean town for decades. On January 17th, the winter day brought the community together around the Mother Church, with Holy Mass, the blessing of animals on the church square, and the procession to the Town Hall for the floral tribute.
The Great Summer Feast, linked to the memory of the miracle of August 1943, featured the procession of the statue on the float with a canopy, the candelore carried on the shoulders of devotees, flower displays, and traditional fireworks. The highlight, as always, was the Calata da Sciara: the descent of the float along the steep lava-stone slope of the Calvario, greeted by the enthusiasm of the faithful in white robes and the many participants who arrived from neighboring towns.
