Feast of Saint Anthony of Padua - U Viaggio a Cannedda

In 2025, Capizzi once again renewed its most cherished festival. During the night between September 1st and 2nd, devotees undertook the "U Viaggio a Cannedda" pilgrimage, reaching the Cannella area in the territory of Caronia on foot and on horseback, through the woods of the Nebrodi Park.

Upon their return in the afternoon, the traditional cavalcade took place with mules and horses decked out for the festival and the participation of the urdunara, accompanied by extraordinary checks by the carabinieri to ensure the safety of the event. The festival concluded with the procession of the Saint's statue and fireworks.
