Feast of Saint Anthony of Padua (Patron Saint of Nicolosi)

The 2025 patronal feast of Nicolosi (province of Catania) confirmed the usual schedule of celebrations in honor of Saint Anthony of Padua. The liturgical feast of June 13th, preceded by the tredicina, featured the blessing of bread and the evening procession along the village's historic route.

The outdoor festival, the most attended moment, was held on the weekend of August 9th and 10th, 2025, with Sunday as the main day. Saturday evening saw the first exit of the statue from the Mother Church, while Sunday featured the morning processions along the historic route and the final evening procession through all the districts, accompanied by a band, illuminations, and a pyrotechnic show, in the spirit of a devotion that has been renewed for centuries in Nicolosi on the slopes of Mount Etna.
