Feast of Saint Anthony of Padua

2025 Edition

The 2025 Feast of Saint Anthony of Padua confirmed the strength of a deep-rooted devotion in Motta Sant'Anastasia (CT). The tredicina spiritually prepared the community with evening rosary prayers and the celebration of mass in the Church of Saint Anthony in Piazza Umberto I. On June 13th, the central day, morning masses were held with the blessing of the Saint's bread, moments dedicated to children, and in the afternoon, the arrival of the brass band. From the late afternoon, the procession of the float crossed the town streets among devotees in votive attire, the hymn to Saint Anthony, colorful ribbons, and fireworks that saluted the exit and return of the statue, concluding a day of faith and popular celebration.
