Edition 2025 — Saint Anthony Abbot

The 2025 edition of the Feast of Saint Anthony Abbot was held in Pratola Peligna on January 16th and 17th, 2025. On this occasion, the Confraternity of the Most Holy Trinity and the Compagnia dei Cantori Itineranti renewed the tradition with folk songs, the performance of the Saint and the Devil, and the blessing of domestic animals at the Church of the Most Holy Trinity.

2025 Edition

In January 2025, Pratola Peligna celebrated Saint Anthony Abbot according to the usual rite: on the evening of January 16th, the itinerant singers toured the town districts with the costumed performance of Saint Anthony and the Devil, accompanied by dialect songs about the life and temptations of the Saint. On January 17th, after the religious service at the Church of the Most Holy Trinity, the traditional blessing of the animals took place, with the procession of the saint's statue to Piazza Garibaldi in the town center.
