Edition 2025 — Saint Anthony Abbot

In 2025, Militello Rosmarino once again renewed the Feast of Saint Anthony Abbot on January 17th, with the Rama procession, the sciara ri cannizzoli, and the blessing of animals in Piazza Lodato, following a tradition that is repeated unchanged every year in the Nebrodi village in the province of Messina.

On January 17, 2025, the village of Militello Rosmarino, in the Nebrodi mountains (province of Messina), celebrated Saint Anthony Abbot, confirming the traditional rites of the festival. The community gathered for the Rama procession, marked by the torches of the sciara ri cannizzoli and drums along the streets of the historic center, and for the blessing of domestic animals in Piazza Lodato. The day, with its strong identity and devotional value, anticipated as every year the festivities for San Biagio, the patron saint of the town.
