Feast of Saint Anthony Abbot - Blessing of the Animals

In 2025, the Feast of Saint Anthony Abbot celebrated the patron saint of animals and the farming world in Porto Mantovano. At the farmers' market in Piazza della Resistenza, the blessing of domestic animals took place, with the display of the saint's wooden statue.

The event, promoted by the Consorzio Agrituristico Mantovano, reaffirmed the strong link between the religious festival and the agricultural identity of the territory, bringing the community together at the start of the year around an authentic rural tradition of the province of Mantua.
