Edition 2025 — Feast of Saint Andrew

In 2025, Milo celebrated its patron Saint Andrew the Apostle on Sunday, July 27, the last Sunday of the month. After the triduum and the solemn pontifical mass, the gilded wooden float emerged onto the Mother Church square in the evening amidst fireworks, festive bell-ringing, and the notes of the brass band, before winding through the streets of the Etna village. The rituals of the cantata, the offering of wax, and the grape cluster tied to the Saint's arm, a symbol of the upcoming harvest, were all confirmed.

The 2025 edition of the Feast of Saint Andrew the Apostle in Milo was held on Sunday, July 27, in accordance with the custom that sets the patronal feast on the last Sunday of July. The Milo community gathered around its patron saint with the preparatory triduum, the solemn pontifical mass, and the evening procession of the statue through the village streets, accompanied by the brass band, the firing of fireworks, and the shower of multicolored paper. The traditional rites were all present: the cantata in honor of the patron saint, the offering of wax by the local districts, and the grape cluster tied to the statue's right arm, a sign of the deep bond between Saint Andrew and the winemaking vocation of Milo, City of Wine on Mount Etna.
