Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows

The 2025 edition of the Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows took place on Sunday, September 21, 2025, in Santa Domenica Vittoria, a mountain municipality in the province of Messina located in the Nebrodi territory.

The celebration followed the traditional format: Holy Mass in the village church, procession of the statue of Our Lady of Sorrows accompanied by the faithful through the streets of the historic center, and, in the evening, music and dancing in the main square. The festival, scheduled every year for the third Sunday of September, represented one of the most attended devotional moments of the village's autumn calendar, just a few weeks after the celebrations for Saint Anthony the Abbot.
