Edition 2025 — Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows

In 2025, Monterosso Almo once again experienced the Easter cycle dedicated to Our Lady of Sorrows, the village's Patron Saint since 1644. From Easter Tuesday to the Feast of the Angels, the streets of the historic center hosted processions of the statue, accompanied by the town band, solemn masses, the traditional charity auction, and fireworks, in one of the most heartfelt expressions of popular faith in the Iblei Mountains.

2025 Edition

In 2025, the spring cycle in honor of the Most Holy Mary of Sorrows confirmed its central role in the life of Monterosso Almo, an Iblei village in the province of Ragusa. As per tradition, the festivities took place from Easter Tuesday, commemorating the Patron Madonna, to the Feast of the Angels, passing through Divine Mercy Sunday.

The main days alternated between solemn Eucharistic celebrations, processions of the statue through the historic center, musical accompaniment by the town brass band, the traditional cena with a charity auction of local products, and fireworks displays, renewing a devotion that is deeply rooted and widely supported by the community.
