Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel (Patronal Festival)

2025 Edition — 120 years of the patron saint

In 2025, Ragalna celebrated the 120th anniversary of the patronal feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. The solemn festivities opened on Saturday, September 27th, with a liturgical celebration and the unveiling of the statue, continuing on Sunday, September 28th and Monday, September 29th with the traditional processions of the golden fercolo through the village streets, accompanied by brass bands.

The evenings offered musical performances and, in the grand finale on Monday, the fireworks display that attracts numerous faithful and visitors every year. The statue of the Madonna remained on display in the following days and was then returned to its niche with the ripositura ceremony, held on Sunday, October 5, 2025. A highly attended edition, symbolizing the deep devotion of this village in the Province of Catania overlooking Mount Etna.

• Processions of the Madonna and return of the fercolo to the Mother Church
• Final fireworks display with brass bands
