Feast of Maria SS.ma di Canneto (Festival of the Four Regions and One Hundred Towns)

The 2025 edition

In 2025, thousands of pilgrims once again reached the Canneto Valley on foot to venerate the Black Madonna, in an uninterrupted flow of groups from Lazio, Abruzzo, Molise, and Campania. On August 19, 2025, the CAI subsection of Montaquila accompanied a hike through the Passo dei Monaci to the sanctuary, joining the pilgrims from Pizzone: a testament to how the Canneto path continues to intertwine devotion and hiking in the heart of the Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise National Park. Images of the arrival of the groups on August 20, 2025, document a valley crowded with the faithful, amidst banners, hymns, and nocturnal bonfires, until the festive return of the statue to Settefrati on the evening of August 22.
