The 2025 edition
In 2025, the community of Serro, a village in Villafranca Tirrena, honored its patron saint Maria SS. della Candelora with the usual celebrations. On Sunday, February 2, 2025, a solemn mass was held with the blessing of candles, following the ancient custom where the faithful keep the blessed candles to light in times of need.
The procession of the Madonna's statue through the streets of the village, accompanied by a brass band and fireworks, took place on Sunday, February 9, 2025. The feast once again united faith and tradition, drawing many devotees and reaffirming the strong bond of identity between the community and its Candelora.
