Feast of Maria SS. Annunziata

The 2025 edition of the Feast of Maria SS. Annunziata took place in Pedara, in the Province of Catania, according to the usual September calendar. The festivities kicked off with the ringing of the church bells and cannon fire, followed by the blessing of the bearers and the traditional "ballata" of the candelore on the sanctuary square.

During the peak days, the unveiling of the Marian floats prepared by the historic Piazza and Sant'Antonio districts took place, followed by the unveiling of the statue of the Virgin and the solemn procession of the artistic 1888 wooden fercolo through the town center, accompanied by fireworks, illuminations, and the brass band. The festival concluded with the octave, sealing one of the most heartfelt celebrations on the Etna side.
