The 2025 edition

The 2025 edition of the Feast of Maria Santissima di Valverde reached its climax on Sunday, August 31, the last Sunday of the month, preceded by the festivities of Friday, August 29 and Saturday, August 30. From the early hours of the morning, Holy Masses followed one another in Valverde, in the province of Catania, up to the solemn celebration at 10 AM.

In the afternoon, the heartfelt procession of the Madonna's simulacrum took place through the city streets, returning to the Sanctuary amidst the participation of the faithful. The evenings in the square were enlivened by musical performances and popular entertainment, in a festive atmosphere that combined devotion and tradition. The conclusion of the celebrations, with the return of the image to its chapel, sealed once again this year the strong bond of the Valverde community with its patron saint.
