Edition 2025 — Saint Luke the Evangelist

In 2025, Pescopennataro also celebrated Saint Luke the Evangelist on September 10th, 11th, and 12th, with the procession of the painting from the Abeti Soprani woods to the Church of Saint Bartholomew the Apostle, fireworks, and convivial moments in the woods, in the heart of the National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise.

The 2025 edition of the feast in honour of Saint Luke the Evangelist took place in Pescopennataro on September 10th, 11th, and 12th, following tradition. The saint's painting was carried in procession from the chapel in the Abeti Soprani woods to the village gates, and after the sunset fireworks, to the Mother Church of Saint Bartholomew the Apostle for Holy Mass. Convivial moments in the woods, including a roast lamb lunch, were not missed. The feast reaffirmed the community's strong bond with its saint and the mountain that houses his hermitage.
