Edition 2025 — Feast of Maria SS. di Costantinopoli
The 2025 edition
From August 30 to September 3, 2025, Acquaviva delle Fonti celebrated its Patroness, Maria Santissima di Costantinopoli. The triduum opened on August 30 with Holy Mass in Piazza dei Martiri, followed on August 31 by the enthronement of the Image of the Madonna in the Cathedral. The highlight was Tuesday, September 2, with the concelebration presided over by H.E. Monsignor Giuseppe Russo and the solemn itinerant procession through the streets of the center.
On the secular side, the historical re-enactment of the arrival of the sacred painting animated Piazza dei Martiri on Sunday, August 31, while at midnight on September 2, the long-awaited launch of the paper hot-air balloon took place, followed by fireworks. There was no shortage of itinerant concerts, brass orchestras, craft markets, and food stalls featuring local products. All events were free to attend.
