The 2025 edition
On Thursday, May 1st, 2025, Filacciano hosted the 41st edition of the Fava Bean and Pecorino Festival, organized by the Ente Valorizzazione Filacciano - Pro Loco at the Piazzale della Fontana, in the heart of the Tiber Valley.
The food stalls opened at 12:00 PM, offering, alongside the classic pairing of organic fava beans and pecorino, a menu of traditional Lazio cuisine: penne with fava beans and guanciale, grilled meats including sausages and sliced beef, seasonal salads, and fries, all accompanied by local wine.
The afternoon was enlivened by the live music of Roberto Billi and his band, in a festive and convivial atmosphere that draws visitors from Rome and the nearby Sabina towns to this small village of just over 400 inhabitants every year.
