FASE – South-East Visual Arts Festival

The second edition of FASE – South-East Visual Arts Festival was held in Otranto, in the province of Lecce, from May 9 to June 29, 2025, with the theme "Time for a change": a reflection on change understood as a possibility and as a key to interpreting the present. The edition symbolically coincided with the 200th anniversary of photography, a language placed at the center of the festival as a tool to narrate the contemporary world and social life.

For weeks, the streets and corners of Otranto—from the historic center to the seafronts and Porto Badisco—hosted open-air exhibitions, meetings with authors, workshops, and musical moments. Among the protagonists was photographer Francesco Zizola with the project "Mare Omnis", dedicated to the relationship between man and nature, alongside numerous other Italian and international authors. Conceived and created by Fuori Fase APS in collaboration with the Municipality of Otranto and with the patronage of the Puglia Region, the event confirmed the formula of a widespread and free festival, consolidating FASE in the landscape of photography festivals in Southern Italy.
