Edition 2025 — Transhumance March
From August 9 to 13, 2025, the thirty-third edition of the Falasche-Jenne Transhumance March took place, the re-enactment that brings back to life every summer the trail traveled for centuries by the shepherds of Jenne.
The caravan departed from the village of Falasche, in Anzio, after the blessing of the horses and riders, and spent five days traveling the approximately 125 kilometers that separate the Tyrrhenian coast from the upper Aniene Valley, crossing the Pontine countryside, the hilly belt, and finally the Altipiani di Arcinazzo.
The arrival in Jenne on Wednesday, August 13, saw the village in celebration: the caravan entered the historic center, commemorative medals were presented to the participants, and a convivial evening with music and traditional cuisine was held in the square. In 2025, the event once again relied on the support of the municipalities of Anzio and Jenne, the L.U.P.A. association, and the Simbruini Mountains Regional Natural Park.
