2025 New Year's Eve Torchlight Descent

The traditional New Year's Eve torchlight descent in Nova Ponente/Deutschnofen was held on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at 6:00 PM, at the valley station of the local ski lift (Dorflift Deutschnofen), on the Eggental plateau. As per tradition, the torchlight descent illuminated the slope in the darkness of the winter evening, greeted by spectators gathered at the edge of the track.

At the end of the descent, the meeting point was at Bar Arche, where hot tea and mulled wine were offered. Participation was free and did not require registration: it was enough to show up at the start of the ski lift. The event, promoted by the Dorflift Deutschnofen cooperative together with the Eggental tourism association, closed the year with a moment of celebration and conviviality in the heart of South Tyrol.
