Extemporaneous Painting Exhibition - Beato Nunzio Sulprizio National Prize

The 2025 edition

The 2025 edition of the Extemporaneous Painting Exhibition took place in Pescosansonesco (PE) on August 15, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 11:30 PM, based at the Municipal Building at Via Municipio 14, with works created outdoors in the historic center. As per tradition, the day combined the extemporaneous painting competition with the celebrations of the Feast of the Assumption, one of the most important occasions for the Municipality.

The artists, invited from various regions of Italy, painted live in front of the public, offering the opportunity to admire the works being created in real time. Accompanying the exhibition were festive moments and the village's popular traditions, including a performance of the life of Saint Anthony with music and costumes. Admission was free.

The day of August 15, 2025, unfolded from morning to evening (8:00 AM - 11:30 PM): live creation of works by invited artists along the streets and staircases of the historic center, celebrations of the Feast of the Assumption, performance of the life of Saint Anthony with music and traditional costumes, and final awarding of the canvases by the jury.
