Expo 2000 – Regional Fair for Industry, Crafts, Agriculture, and Tourism of Salento

The 2025 edition of Expo 2000 was held in Miggiano (Lecce) from Wednesday, October 15 to Sunday, October 19, 2025, in the Permanent Exhibition District. The event opened on Wednesday, October 15, with the ribbon-cutting ceremony, and was open to the public from Thursday the 16th to Sunday the 19th, from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM and 4:30 PM to 11:00 PM.

On an exhibition area of over 40,000 square meters, completely renovated with two large restructured tensile structures, over 250 stands presented home furnishings and interior design, artisanal furniture, industrial manufacturing, renewable energy, agricultural machinery, floriculture, food and wine, and tourism promotion for Salento. The Taste District was present, with specialties from Sicily, Calabria, Campania, and Salento, along with the traditional Pork Festival on Saturday night and the presentation of the Miggiano Award. The fair, one of the most important in Southern Italy, confirmed its status as a major event with over one hundred thousand visitors.

Wednesday, October 15 — Inauguration

• Presentation of the Miggiano Award to those who have distinguished themselves through their commitment to the local area

• Open to the public: 9:30 AM–1:00 PM and 4:30 PM–11:00 PM
• Visits to over 250 exhibition stands and the Taste District

Saturday, October 18

• Open to the public: 9:30 AM–1:00 PM and 4:30 PM–11:00 PM
• Pork Festival in the evening, with show cooking, music, and entertainment

Sunday, October 19 — Closing

• Open to the public: 9:30 AM–1:00 PM and 4:30 PM–11:00 PM
• Final day of the fair with the Taste District
