The 13th edition of the Europameisterschaft prähistorische Waffen took place on the last weekend of September 2025 at the archeoParc Val Senales in Madonna di Senales (BZ). Enthusiastic archers and javelin throwers from Italy and abroad competed in prehistoric archery and spear-thrower events, alongside the ISAC World Precision Championship.

2025 Edition: The 13th Prehistoric Challenge

The 13th edition of the European Championship for Prehistoric Weapons was held on September 27-28, 2025, at the archeoParc Val Senales, in the municipality of Senales/Schnals (province of Bolzano, Trentino-South Tyrol). On the target course in the Bodenwald forest, at an altitude of 1,500 meters, archers and javelin throwers from Italy and abroad faced off, with competitors notably arriving from Switzerland, Germany, and Austria.

The trials included prehistoric archery and javelin throwing with a spear-thrower (atlatl), in men's, women's, and children's categories, alongside the ISAC World Precision Championship organized by the World Atlatl Association. Beyond the competition, the weekend confirmed the convivial spirit of the event, with opportunities to meet and enjoy meals featuring South Tyrolean specialties in the setting of the Ötzi museum.
