Etruscan Marathon

The 34th Etruscan Marathon was held on Sunday, July 27, 2025, in the picturesque Gulf of Baratti, in the municipality of Piombino. As every year, the approximately 7.6 km long-distance swimming race started at 09:30 from the beach at the Sailing Center, winding along the buoy-marked course between Pozzino and the Stellino rock.

The 2025 edition confirmed the race weekend format, with middle-distance events alongside the marathon, refreshments on the beach, and the pasta party in the pine forest during the awards ceremony. The event, organized by the Società Nuoto Piombino ASD, remains one of the most beloved appointments in Tuscan long-distance swimming.
