Etna Prize

31st Etna Prize — August 3, 2025

The 31st edition of the Etna Prize was held on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at 9:00 PM in Piazza dei Vespri Siciliani in Linguaglossa (CT), as the concluding event of Etna Week. The award was presented to geologist, CNR researcher, and renowned scientific communicator Mario Tozzi, for his commitment to narrating and protecting the territory and the mountains.

Under the artistic direction of Agostino Zumbo, the evening hosted actor and director Vincenzo Pirrotta and singer-songwriter Lello Analfino, accompanied on the piano by Pierpaolo Latina. Special awards were also given to Giovanni Mazzoleni (Alpine Rescue and CAI) and Carmelino Mangano, the historic president of the CAI section of Linguaglossa. The edition, dedicated to the theme of science and the territory, was promoted by the Municipality of Linguaglossa with the Pro Loco, CAI, and Etna Park.
