Estate Giarrese 2025

For the summer of 2025, the Municipality of Giarre released the Estate Giarrese event calendar, including theatre seasons, musical performances, and concerts distributed across the city's central squares.

Among the theatrical offerings, the R-estate a Teatro festival stood out, organised by the cultural association ArchiDrama under the artistic direction of Alfio Zappalà, in collaboration with the Municipal Department of Culture, Tourism, and Entertainment. The performances took place in Piazza Fabrizio De André, behind Piazza Duomo, with a programme alternating between theatre-cabaret, musical and poetic shows, comedy, and opera recitals, enlivening Giarre's evenings between August and September.

• "Sto tornando" — theatre-cabaret with the Compagnia Il Gatto Blu (Gino Astorina, Francesca Agate, Luciano Messina, Nuccio Morabito)
• "Sempre..." — musical-poetic show with Guia Jelo, Gianfranco Pappalardo Fiumara, Flaminia Chiechio, and Guia Buccheri
• "Reloaded" — with Marco Cavallaro, paired with the short film by Maria Rita Leotta
• "I love Opera" — with artists from the Mythos Opera Festival, directed by Nino Strano
• "Fiato di madre" — by and with Sergio Vespertino

The R-estate a Teatro festival was curated by the ArchiDrama association (artistic direction by Alfio Zappalà). The rest of the Estate Giarrese 2025 programme, featuring additional concerts and musical shows, was published on the official channels of the Municipality of Giarre.
