Espacio Femenino 2025 - Mujeres rurales

The inaugural edition of Espacio Femenino, hosted at the Institut français Palermo in the Cantieri Culturali alla Zisa, was dedicated to the theme of Mujeres rurales, women of rural territories. With film programming curated by River Lab, the festival offered a different look at rural environments and how the people who inhabit them build their own culture, with particular attention to the role of women as custodians of these spaces.

The program included a session of short films—including Muyeres, Secaderos, and Historia de pastores—with screenings on the evenings of June 16 and 18 and July 7 and 9, 2025, all at 9:00 PM and with free admission subject to availability. A first chapter that laid the foundations for the festival's establishment in the Palermitan cultural landscape.
