EricèNatale - The Village of Nativity Scenes

The 2025 edition of EricèNatale was held from December 6, 2025, to January 6, 2026, bringing the medieval village of Erice, in the Municipality of Erice (province of Trapani), to life for a full month.

Among the novelties, an international collection of over one hundred nutcrackers and music boxes from the historic German manufacturers Steinbach and Ulbricht was displayed between the Town Hall and the Blue Room of the A. Cordici Museum, in dialogue with the Mediterranean nativity tradition. Three routes led visitors through over thirty artisanal nativity scenes set up in churches, courtyards, workshops, and natural caves, including the mechanical nativity scene at Palazzo Sales and the "Sports Nativity Scene" dedicated to Erice, European City of Sport 2027.

The program included craft markets, DJ sets and concerts in Piazza della Loggia, performances at the Teatro Gebel Hamed and the Cappella di Casa Santa Sales, children's workshops at Santa's House in Piazzetta San Giuliano, and bagpiper exhibitions. The hamlets participated with initiatives such as the "Illuminated Balcony" competition at Villa Mokarta, "Live the Nativity" in Contrada Pegno, and "Giving Makes You Happy" in Napola. The New Year's Eve celebration concluded with a big party in Piazza della Loggia, DJ sets, and fireworks.
