Edition 2025 — Erice Early Music
The 2025 edition in Erice
In 2025, the Erice International Early Music Festival enlivened the summer in the medieval village as part of the Ericestate 2025 program, with a rich schedule coordinated by the MEMA - Mediterranean Music Association. The program ranged from Baroque to classical repertoire, featuring titles such as the short opera "La Dirindina" by Domenico Scarlatti and Handel pieces at the Wigner-San Francesco Institute, a lyrical gala in Piazza Castello di Venere, and a "Baroque Week" spread across multiple venues in the historic center.
The festival concluded with the International Early Music Week, four events in the Church of San Martino dedicated to medieval and Renaissance music, with programs such as "Laudate Virginem" (music of medieval Sicily), "The Lute, the Voice of the Renaissance," and "Light in the Shadow" featuring music by Francesco Landini, interpreted by international specialists in early music.
