Epiphany Festival (Arrival of the Three Wise Men and the Befana)

2025 Epiphany Festival in Carpino

On January 6, 2025, Carpino celebrated Epiphany with its traditional festival, organized by the Pro Loco and the Municipality of Carpino. The day began at noon with the departure of the Three Wise Men from the Church of San Nicola: the procession crossed the center to Piazza del Popolo, where an act of adoration took place at the nativity scene of the Sacrario dei Caduti, with the blessing of the gifts entrusted to Father Nicola Iacovone.

In the afternoon, at 6:00 PM, it was the turn of the Befana, who arrived in Piazza del Popolo to the delight of the children to distribute sweets and candies. A free, well-attended event that combined the religious and popular dimensions, thus bidding farewell to the end of the Christmas holidays in the Gargano village.
