Edition 2025 — Ëndama 'n Bandìa

In autumn 2025, the Pro Loco Upega once again hosted Ëndama 'n Bandìa, the Brigasca transhumance festival in the village of Upega, a hamlet of Briga Alta (CN). As is tradition, the day featured a lunch of polenta and wild boar, the afternoon parade of Brigasca sheep and cow herds, a guided tour of the village, and traditional lavender distillation, marking a well-established date in the valley's autumn calendar.

The 2025 edition of Ëndama 'n Bandìa reaffirmed Upega's deep bond with Brigasca pastoral culture. In the heart of the upper Tanaro Valley, in the Province of Cuneo, the transhumance festival brought together residents, descendants of Brigasca families, and visitors to celebrate the autumn descent of livestock toward winter pastures. Between the polenta and wild boar lunch, the parade of Brigasca sheep and cows, and the traditional lavender distillation, the day offered an authentic glimpse into the mountain traditions of southwestern Piedmont.
